Canyoning
Tour
Tour information:
Pure Trek is a privately owned Costa
Rican corporation. We provide the extreme adventure sport
called “canyoning”, rappelling down the waterfalls
and trekking in a pristine canyon.
Tour itinerary:
Pick up and drop off at your hotel (La
Fortuna-Arenal area only). A 30 minute 4x4 drive will bring
all clients to the ranch house. We will give you a safety
talk, put your gear on, and then embark on a short trek to
the top of the first waterfall where we start our descent.
There are 4 rappels ranging in height from 50 to 20 meters,
all are guaranteed to get your blood moving! We have constructed
trails that lead you from waterfall to waterfall through the
canyon; It´s like being in a National Park. Then a short
trek out of the canyon will lead you back to the truck and
back to our base for lunch in view of the famous Volcan Arenal.
(lunch served after the 7:00am tour and before the 12:00 noon

We did the very 1 descent into the canyon so this is truly
a once in a lifetime Costa Rican rain forest experience.
Our tour includes:
-professionally trained bilingual guides.
-trekking along magical trails in a pristine canyon.
-rappelling down 4 amazing waterfalls.
-lunch served on both tours.
-all transportation.
All our guides are trained in wilderness
first aid and CPR as well as in the procedures used in rock
climbing and rope course operation. The construction of our
anchors and rappel lines meet the requirements as set by the
rock climbing industry. Daily safety checks are performed
on all systems and equipment.
We are dedicated to providing our clients with an unforgettable
adevnture. Safety and service are of the up most importance
to us at pure trek canyoning. Our groups are always small
and our trips are always memorable.
This tour is for anyone in moderate physical condition and
looking for a real Costa Rican adventure, and adventure in
a place few people get to experience.

Río Celeste
Tour:
We leave at 7:00am
from La Fortuna. After a typical breakfast in route to Rio
Celeste, we´ll arrive at the Tenorio Volcano National
Park, where we´ll begin our 7 km hike (approximated
4 hours) through the tropical rain forest. We´ll arrive
“Los Teñideros” of the Rio Celeste, the
site where two streams of cristaline water come together and
form the heavenly color blue that gives the river its name.
We´ll return through trails, rich with ecological wonders,
that lead us to the “ollas”, openings in the earth
where we can excavate healing muds, take a mud bath, and a
dip in the natural hot springs all while observing the attractions
of Tenorio Volcano.
We´ll continue our hike through the jungle to seek out
the volcano´s fornace vents thet expel gases of extreme
high temperatures. On our decent we will get to see the spectacular
Rio Celeste waterfall whose color makes it one of a kind.
Our final reward is an exquisite lunch at the end of our journey.
